Principal and Creative Director

Rob Dietz

Principal and Creative Director

Founder and creative director of Pica Design, Rob brings design experience with Fortune 500 companies, national non-profit organizations and small businesses to Belfast, Maine. His passion for functional design, creativity and idea collaboration are at the core of his being. Rob's pragmatic approach to design challenges and his ability to discern effective communication strategies has helped inspire Pica's clientele and attract the right blend of creative talent for nearly ten years.

Art Director

Cassidy Parmley

Art Director

As our daily design critic, Cassidy asks the difficult, sometimes philosophical questions that get to the heart of design, such as, "What are you trying to achieve?" As a designer, he doesn't sidestep the tough questions, either; he perseveres, with patience, until he gets it right. Level-headedness and objectivity characterize our Art Director's MO. Even when it comes to his unofficial positions as Recycling Department Overseer and Superintendent of International Shipping, Cassidy is unflustered in the face of heaps of 8.5" x 11" paper.

Project Manager and Copywriter

Jen DeJoy

Project Manager and Copywriter

Jen is a wordsmith, bent on keeping us straight on our commas and sharp on messaging. She's a part-time thespian, but that doesn't mean she's dramatic; as our Project Manager she keeps her cool in the face of tight deadlines and copy emergencies. She knows who's working on what, and what's to be done, and keeps us on track with the thirty-something projects we have going
each week.

Graphic Designer

Micah Ellis

Graphic Designer

Micah's talents are many: design artistry, ping pong, quick wit, illustration, story-telling, basketball, voice-overs, running narrative; they are too numerous to enumerate. Up-to-speed on design industry trends, re-built brand identities, and the like, Micah keeps us fueled on inspiration. His big-picture perspective sparks diverse ideas (coffee helps, too; and snacks), and his sporty, competitive edge keeps things sporty and edgy.

Web Developer

Caitlin Holman

Web Developer

With a degree in International Affairs and a penchant for all things Internet, what's a tech-savvy young person to do? Cait is a tireless Web Designer and Programmer. Devoted to code, she brought us all into the know on Content Management Systems (CMS), Open Source software, and Social Networking. As of Fall 2009, she is working on a graduate degree in Information Science at the University of Michigan. She will be staying on with Pica as a Special Agent (err...consultant) aiding in usability testing, interface design, and application development.

Graphic Designer

Reuben Brown

Graphic Designer

Reuben came to Pica Design with a fine-arts background in photography, painting, print-making and sculpture. He has a keen sense of the dimensional, making him our 3-D go-to designer (he also builds yacht models, by the way).
By nature, Reuben has a gift for understanding mechanical and technological issues. He's also a Mac fan, so he's a great resource when we experience technical difficulties with
files, printers, and computers (and
cars, of course).
